GET WET! With Mark Fuller
“The man who turns ordinary water into extraordinary art.”
That’s what CBS News Sunday Morning called the creator (and creative genius) of WET – Water Entertainment Technologies – the number one creator of water fountains in the world! You’ve seen the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, but how about the world’s largest fountain (the Burj Dubai), the new Revson Fountain in New York’s Lincoln Center, the Leapfrog Fountain and Fountain of the Nations at Epcot in Walt Disney World, and more than 200 water features in 22 countries!
WET’s amazing creations have been featured in LA (“Fountain Head”), The New Yorker (“Water Music”) and the CBS Sunday Morning TV show. See WET in action: HERE (click)
Mark will show and tell about WET’s designs, and demonstrate how they do it, in and around the Sklar’s pool. Get your towel and prepare to GET WET!

CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
This year, we invite you to support the hundreds of students served each year by Ryman Arts by becoming an Event Sponsor. This is your advance opportunity—before our announcement and invitation are distributed more widely—and this one will sell out!
As a Sponsor, you and your guests will first enjoy an exclusive Patron Event at 5 p.m. on October 2nd GET WET With Mark Fuller, prior to the regular event that begins at 7:30 p.m.
In addition, as an exclusive “Sponsors Only” feature, Mark Fuller will welcome you and your guests for a private behind-the-scenes tour of his Los Angeles-based water-features firm, WET (Water Entertainment Technologies) on a later date.
Sponsors will also receive an array of benefits including reserved premiere seating at the event and logo recognition on event-related materials (e.g., print and digital invitation, banner, signage). Please see Sponsorship Card and Form [Click for PDF: 138k] for the benefits of each sponsorship level and commitment form. Contact Ryman Arts for more information on sponsorships: 213-629-2787.
SUPPORT
The event is also made possible by substantial in-kind contributions,
including partners Walt Disney Imagineering, Lexington Design, and Apple Graphics.
All proceeds from An Affair of the Art ticket sales, sponsorships, and artwork sales benefit Ryman Arts’ core programs. The Patron Event speaker, Mark Fuller of WET, donates his time for the Patron Event and the private tour of his water design facility for Sponsors. Although not required, many artists include a donation of one or more pieces of their art to the sale. (Otherwise, the proceeds from the sale of each piece is split 50-50 between the artist and Ryman Arts.) Over 80 volunteers, including many Ryman Arts alumni and Disney VoluntEARS, work at the event to make it a success each year.

Herbert Dickens Ryman:
An Artist's Journey to Walt's and Other Worlds
Benefiting Ryman Arts
Presented by Marty Sklar
Disney Legend and former Executive Vice President and Imagineering Ambassador
Join Marty on a journey through the life and legacy of Herb Ryman and the establishment of Ryman Arts, founded in his honor by six friends, including Walt's daughter Sharon Disney Lund and Marty and Leah Sklar. Herbert D. Ryman (1910-1989) created the first overall illustration of Disneyland, drawing as Walt Disney described his dream for a new kind of family entertainment, and continued to work on every Disney theme park until he died in 1989. Don't miss this rare opportunity to listen to Marty speak about and show Herb Ryman's contributions to key milestones in the history of The Walt Disney Company, including the story of the Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Herb's world travels, including his amazing paintings of people and places.
