The Disneyland Alumni Club helps out Ryman Arts

It was a beautiful Sunday at Walt’s Barn in Los Angeles, a perfect day and place for a special moment.

The moment was when Diane Brigham, executive director of Ryman Arts, stopped by to receive a donation of $500 to the Ryman-Carroll Foundation from representatives of the Disneyland Alumni Club.

Mark Keiser, president of the Disneyland Alumni Club, along with Richard Ferrin, its vice-president, presented her with the check.

Ryman Arts Alumna Mayra Moran - Painting the Stories of Los Angeles

As a Ryman Arts alumna of 2010, Mayra Moran reflects on her experiences in the program 8 years later and how it has shaped her personally, academically, and professionally. Inspired by her time at Ryman Arts, Mayra is pursuing a creative and socially engaging career. Today, she has contributed to the public art landscape of Los Angeles by creating murals for non-profits including Global GLOW, Wise Readers to Leaders, and Compton Initiative to produce a positive change in her community.
