Cal State Fullerton Hosts Ryman Arts 2019 Graduation

By Marilyn Nguyen (Ryman ’11), Development Coordinator

Every year, Ryman Arts celebrates the success of our students with a culminating graduation ceremony and student exhibition. This year, our site partner, California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), generously hosted the 2019 Graduation Ceremony and Student Artwork Exhibition Reception. Since 2013, CSUF has been hosting Ryman Arts classes free of charge to our organization. With this year’s graduation, Ryman Arts strengthens our partnership with the university and hopes to continue that strong relationship as we continue to provide free high caliber, advanced level studio art instruction and college & career planning to young artists in Southern California.

Dale Merrill, Dean of the CSUF College of the Arts, welcomes graduates and guests to the 2019 Ryman Arts Graduation Ceremony at CSUF

In describing the importance of the relationship between Ryman Arts and CSUF, Dean Merrill stated, “The collaboration between CSUF and Ryman Arts adds a new important layer to the University's commitment to community outreach in the arts. We are pleased we can provide a safe and positive environment in well-equipped studios for the teens on weekends. The experience also builds a pathway to higher education for this diverse mix of students who will be well prepared to continue their studies here or at other selective universities.”
