Ryman Arts is Back – In-person!

By Marilyn Nguyen (Ryman ’11), Development Coordinator

Our Fall 2021 semester has just begun, and students are already enthusiastically working away!

We are excited to provide in-person classes once again during Fall 2021! This semester, we welcomed 106 new students and 107 returning students for our fall classes, which are being held at the studios of Otis College of Art and Design and Cal State Fullerton.

“As proud as I was of how well the students did last year learning over Zoom, it was just wonderful to see them in person again. Nothing compares to seeing students and faculty working together in the studios. It was also so nice to see and chat with parents and families again – we missed you over the last year so much! Big thanks to everyone for getting your forms and documentation turned in, for following all the safety rules, and for being awesome,” commented our Education Manager, Rebecca Tuynman on the first day of class.

In addition to studio class sessions, we are also offering some program components online, including student and parent orientation, college and career preparation workshops, and virtual guest artist talks for artists outside our local area.

While we’re prepared and ready to return to virtual classes, if necessary, we are thrilled to welcome back our talented student artists and to be able to resume in-person classes.
