    May 3, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA - Ryman Arts is thrilled to announce the appointment of Audrey T. Salzburg as its new Executive Director. Audrey’s passion for championing art education for youth along with decades of experience in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors with a focus on strategic planning and fund development.

  • Bob Weis Will be Honored with the 2024 Sklar Creative Visionary Award

    April 4, 2024 - Los Angeles, CA - The 4th annual Marty & Leah Sklar Creative Visionary Award will be presented to Bob Weis, a philanthropist, creative leader, and longtime champion of Ryman Arts at Celebration of the Arts. The Sklar Creative Visionary Award is presented annually by Ryman Arts to an individual whose distinctive contribution to the creative community and whose leadership in the art world has made a significant impact. Bob Weis, whose impact on the community has been tremendous, truly exemplifies this award. Bob spent 35 years as an Imagineer, including 6 years as President, and a year as Imagineering Global Ambassador and currently leads Global Entertainment at Gensler.

  • Academy Award-Winning Costume Designer, Ruth E. Carter Will be Honored with the 2022 Sklar Creative Visionary Award

    Sept. 30, 2023 - Los Angeles, CA - The annual Sklar Creative Visionary Award will be presented to Ruth E. Carter, the Academy Award-winning costume designer, on October 22, 2022. The celebration will take place at Hollywood's historic soundstage, Neuehouse. The event will feature an in-person extended conversation with Carter with a curated selection of her iconic costumes from recent films on display.

Quick Facts about Ryman Arts

  • Ryman Arts offers intensive out-of-school studio art instruction, college and career counseling, art supplies, and support services – all at no cost to over 550 students annually.

  • Classes are taught by professional artists.

  • Classes are 3½ hours long, meet on weekends, and require 5 - 7 hours of weekly homework.

  • Classes are held on the campuses of Otis College of Art & Design and California State University, Fullerton. (Students choose which site to attend; the same classes are offered at each site.)

  • With small class sizes, we are able to provide personal attention and work with each student’s unique circumstance so as to provide the same high quality service to every student.
